JAKARTA - The Indonesian Export Company Association (GPEI) welcomed the new ministerial ministers from the cabinet reshuffle by President Prabowo Subianto. Entrepreneurs have high hopes that the new economic team can encourage the country's economic growth to be better.
GPEI Chairperson, Benny Soetrisno, looked at this reshuffle, especially at the Ministry of Finance's post, as a "refreshment" step.
According to him, this step is needed because economic performance has been considered not fully in accordance with the expected targets.
"The refreshment that has not been able to foster the economy according to the expectations of the President and the community," said Benny LaunchingCASH, Thursday (11/9/2025).
GPEI hopes that new ministers can focus more on economic improvement through broader employment creation. However, Benny reminded that it requires solid cooperation.
"Certainly requires a process of coordination between ministries and entrepreneurs," he said.
Furthermore, he is optimistic that new ministers can also re -establish national export performance. One of the main keys, according to Benny, is immediately completing a comprehensive economic partnership agreement with the European Union.
"You can (stretch exports) with the completion of CEPA Indonesia - EU," he concluded. (*)
