Jakarta - The high logistics cost is said to be one of the main obstacles that hamper the competitiveness of national export products.

This crucial issue was reported directly by the Indonesian Transportation Services Users Council (Depalindo) in an audience with the Minister of Trade, Budi Santoso, on Friday (12/9/2025).

Toto explained, this hearing aims to convey the various challenges faced by business people.

"Delivering what is our challenge to support national exports, especially in the port logistics sector," said Toto.

According to Toto, the Minister of Trade responded to the input very enthusiastically and would follow up to the level between ministries.

"(Minister) will follow up on, as input to be discussed between ministries," Toto said.

Depalindo asserted that logistics efficiency is the key so that Indonesian products can compete in the global market.

"Our goods will be able to compete in the global market if we are also the burden of logistics costs not high," said the man who also served as Secretary General of the GPEI DPP.

In addition to conveying complaints, Toto explained that the audience also had another important agenda, namely inviting the Minister of Trade directly to open two major events.

The first agenda is the Depalindo National Congress which will soon be held.

"Hopefully the willingness of the Minister to open the XII Depalindo Congress on September 25," said Toto.

Furthermore, the invitation was also submitted for an international scale forum that will be held in Bali.

"(We also) hope that the Minister will open up the hope of 2025 meetings in Bali," he added.

The hearing was attended by the board of management of DPN Depalindo, including Chairperson of Toto Dirgantoro, Secretary General Wildan Anwar, and General Treasurer Jeremia Dewanto.

Also present was Deputy Secretary General Mikhael Ardianto, as well as the Chairman of the OC Congress Committee Hendrik Sitompul and the Chairman of the SC Congress Committee Moh Hamzah.
