GORONTALO - The Indonesian Export Company Association (GPEI) of South and West Sulawesi (South Sulawesi) facilitated strategic synergy between business people from Gorontalo and South Sulawesi. This step aims to encourage commodities from both regions to be able to "go up class" and penetrate the export market.
This synergy was built in a business gathering forum held at the Aston Hotel, Gorontalo, on September 16-17, 2025. This event involved around 20 businesses and was supported by various parties, including Kadin and Angkasa Pura.
The Chairman of the South Sulawesi GPEI DPD, Arief Pabbetingi, stated that a forum like this has a greater goal than just a trade transaction.
"Surely there are greater things to increase commodities to be able to go up to exports," said Arief.
According to him, so that local products are increasingly known by buyers (buyers) abroad, activities that bring together entrepreneurs must be carried out consistently.
"As a business actor really hopes that activities like this need to be consistent," he said.
Arief added that efforts like this have begun to show results. A number of local business actors have now been connected with buyers from various countries.
"If yesterday there was a buyer who had a way, some went to Korea, some went to America," he concluded.
